San Marino Registration

San Marino is a microstate entirely surrounded by Italy and regarded as one of the oldest republics in the world. It has no coastline, but in 2021 it entered the maritime field by opening an international ship and yacht register.

The register is run by the San Marino Ship Register (SMSR) in partnership with the San Marino Maritime Authority. It accepts all kinds of vessels from yachts to large merchant ships and has no restrictions based on the owner's nationality.
